The problem
Finding an available charger nearby should not require opening individual station pages. This unofficial local tool brings the live status of nine Base2Charge charging stations in Gartnerbyen, Odense, together on one map.
How it works
Built with Svelte 5, SvelteKit and Tailwind CSS. SvelteKit server routes read publicly available charging-station pages and expose current data through an API, with the Node adapter serving both the interface and API. Leaflet and OpenStreetMap provide the interactive map. The interface supports automatic, light and dark themes. It does not require a database or an external automation service.
Reliability
The backend caches station readings, limits simultaneous requests and handles upstream timeouts. When a station cannot be refreshed, its last known reading is marked stale instead of being presented as current. Automated tests cover parsing, caching and failure recovery.
